If your student has any books checked-out from the Hawthorne Media Center/Library, please be sure to put them in your student's backpack over the weekend to be returned on Monday. We're still missing over one hundred books and we're trying to help Mrs. Moore keep our library full of resources for the rest of our Hawks! Second to last Foodie Friday of the year! Ms. Deegan's third grade classroom got to celebrate the end of ILearn testing, last week, by trying HAWAIIN PIZZA!!! I'm thinking most students would rather hold on to their peperoni and sausage as pizza toppings rather than switching to pineapple, but you can let their expressions tell you themselves! So proud of these kids for always being brave enough to try new things!

We have learned almost all of our songs for the upcoming annual Spring Program! Yay! So far, the students have been doing an amazing job! Our program is all about being HEALTHY!! I have received many signed papers about the program. I am giving out CORE Cash for students who get the paper signed and returned. If their entire class gets it signed, they will get 5 CORE Cash!
Our Spring Program is Thursday, May 2 at 6pm. It will be in our brand new gym!!
Students need to be at school at 5:45pm, and they will meet in the hallway outside their classroom.
Our 3rd and 4th grade choir will be performing as the "opening act" of our spring program.
I am asking students to wear workout clothes or something that that helps them to be healthy! Maybe that's a soccer uniform, or maybe that's old school workout gear. I can't wait to see the creativity! We do ask that students follow the school rules of having shorts/skirts close to knee length.

A quick reminder that now that the weather is finally sunny and beautiful, we will be outside for recess as much as we can be!! Please make sure we're wearing weather appropriate clothing, and if you need any help in that department, we will be happy to assist!
Our administration, counseling team, and some wonderful teachers got together to represent TEAM HAWTHORNE at Warren's WAEF Gala on Friday night! It was a fun night of dinner, sharing achievements and awards, and dancing. Hawthorne received not one, but TWO grants for our students and teachers to utilize. #HawkPride
