July 8 Update Graphic

July 8, 2020

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,

We are accepting new registrations for the 20-21 school year.  If your student ended the 19-20 school year in a Warren Township school you do not need to take any additional action to be registered for school. If you are new to Warren Township and want to register your student for the upcoming school year you may register in multiple ways:

  1. Go to the district home page www.warren.k12.in.us and select the 20/21 Registration / Enrollment Link.

  2. Visit one of our three remaining centralized onsite registration events from 9 am - 5 pm to register in person.

  3.        1.   Thursday, July 9th @ Stonybrook Intermediate/Middle School

           2.   Tuesday, July 14th @ Warren Central High School

           3.   Thursday, July 16th @ Liberty Park Elementary School

Both new and returning students have the option to select virtual instruction for the 20-21 school year.  To register for virtual instruction families can indicate their interest by contacting us at 317-608-0545, emailing us at WarrenRegistration@warren.k12.in.us.  Someone will return your call/email to get more information.  We are asking that all families interested in registering virtually do so no later than Monday, July 20th.  If you register for virtual instruction after that date, you will be placed on a waitlist.

Our school offices are scheduled to open on Monday, July 20th.  If you have any registration needs before the 20th, please reach out to the hotline or attend one of our centralized onsite registration events.

I would like to share some additional reminders for the upcoming school year:

Warren is excited to announce that we have upgraded to a new student information system called Synergy. This means that our old parent portal, Tyler, will be going away. Instead, the parent portal will be upgraded to Synergy’s ParentVUE. ParentVUE is an online tool to help you monitor your student’s education. It allows you to update contact information and provides you with access to the latest information about your child’s attendance and scheduling. Our middle and high school families can view class assignments, report card grades, and course history with ParentVUE.

Once ParentVUE is available, parents who have a previous Tyler account will receive an email with instructions about setting up your new username and password. If you do not have a Tyler SIS account, please complete a registration form located on our parent portal webpage and return it to your school to begin the process of activating your account. ParentVUE is a great way to stay connected with your student's school and track their academic progress. It also helps us stay in contact with you!

Supply lists for the 20-21 school year will be posted and shared on or before July 15th. Families can expect the supply lists to be similar as they have been in previous years.

There have been no changes for immunizations for K-12 students. K-12 Immunization information can be found on our website under the 20-21 Enrollment Tab.

Thank you for your ongoing investment in Warren students and schools and I look forward to seeing you in three weeks.

This is Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
