Severe Weather and Flood Preparedness Week

The National Weather Service has designated March 17  - 23, 2019 as Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Indiana.

On Tuesday, The National Weather Service,  in conjunction with the Indiana State Police, the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, the Indiana Department of Education, the Indiana Broadcasters Association, the American Red Cross, and Amateur Radio Operators will conduct a statewide test of communication systems on Tuesday, March 19 at 10:15 a.m.  Even though MSD Warren Township schools will not be in session, we encourage you follow your plan for steps to take in the event of severe weather.  For example, going to an interior room on the lowest floor, where there are as many walls between yourself and the outside as possible.

Our schools conduct a minimum of one Windstorm drill per semester.  Safety is of the utmost importance and the benefit of preparation cannot be underestimated.  We have included a link to the National Weather Service containing severe weather and flood preparedness information.
