Nov 1 Superintendent Update Graphic

November 1, 2023

Good afternoon, Warren Scholars, Families, and Staff,

We have a few important announcements for the week of November 1st.

A reminder that all MSD Warren students will participate in a planned asynchronous eLearning day on Tuesday, November 7th. The purpose of our planned eLearning days is to provide all of Warren staff with a full day of professional development. More details will be shared through teachers, in school newsletters, and on our District websiteThe 23-24 school calendar is linked here.

Tuesday, November 7th, is also Election Day. Liberty Park Elementary, Creston Intermediate Middle School, and Warren Central High School are our schools that will be used as voting locations. Other voting locations and general voting information can be found by visiting vote.indy.gov.

We are seeking input on future school year calendars. The Board of Education will be reviewing the approved 2024-2025 and will be previewing the 2025-2026 calendar at the November 15th board meeting with approval at the December 20th board meeting. You can provide your input by completing a one-question survey linked here and on our District website.

We know that our parents and caregivers want to be able to communicate with their child’s school and the ability to monitor their child’s data and progress. Warren has a tool called ParentVue that allows parents to do just this. I am excited to share that we have created a short video featuring one of our WCHS students, Will, on how to access and utilize ParentVue. The video can be found linked here or on our ParentVue webpage. If you need additional assistance, please contact your child’s school.

Please remember that daylight savings time will end on Sunday, November 5th. This is the time we “fall back” and set our clocks back 1 hour. Enjoy that extra hour of sleep!

Hope you have a great rest of your week, and thank you for your continued investment in Warren scholars, staff, and schools.

Together….#WarrenWill find Joy in the Journey.
