Thankful for the churches in the community that offer help to our families.

Students are hard at work in CKLA! Some are practicing neat letter formation, while others are using graphic organizers to write thoughtful story summaries from their readers.

Ms. Kriegel will be joining our staff as our new counselor.

We so appreciate the Love Farm. They donate food to our families and community. We were grateful to have them at the Safety Fair last weekend. #HawkPride

Yesterday, our Hawthorne Hawks teachers took part in a variety of professional development sessions centered on ELA instruction. As lifelong learners, our teachers are always seeking new ways to strengthen their teaching and support every student’s growth. We can’t wait to see these new strategies take flight in our classrooms! ❤️🖤

Instructional Assistants worked very hard today to support students in the classroom during CKLA.

Several Family Engagement Liaisons are in North Carolina attending the Families Learning Conference.
Warren MSD's lead Family Engagement Liaison,Mrs. Jackson, is presenting this morning.
Mrs. Angelicchio is excited to learn more engagement strategies to bring back to Hawthorne.

With the holidays fast approaching and with the government cuts many people may need extra help with food. Here are some upcoming food events. You can also reach out to our Family Engagement Liaison, Mrs. Angelicchio for further assistance. #HawksCan
