April 27 Superintendent Update Graphic

April 27, 2022

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,

We have a few important announcements for the week of April 27th.

Parents and caregivers of 4th-grade students,  a reminder that tonight is the  Journey to Intermediate Middle School 5th Grade Open Houses at Stonybrook, Creston, and Raymond Park,  from 6-8 p.m. Each of our Intermediate Middle Schools has planned and prepared an evening for students and families to meet staff, tour the school, and to learn about the exciting experiences awaiting for next school year.

Tomorrow, April 28th is our District Physical Night for those students entering grades 6-12 who are in need of a physical to participate in athletics during the 2022-2023 school year. This event is being held at the Warren Central High School Field House located on the high school campus. Times for this event are from 6-8 p.m. and the cost is $20 per student.

As we prepare for the 2022-23 school year, parents and caregivers of current Warren students are required to enroll their students for the upcoming school year. We have made this requirement more convenient for families by creating an online enrollment process. Please visit our District website and click on the Enrollment / Registration button on the home page. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact your child’s school. Thank you to those families who have already completed this process.

We have a lot to celebrate in our Warren schools and District! Please take a moment to read this month’s District newsletter linked here and on our District website. Congratulations to all of our students and staff for the great work you are doing.

Next week, we will be celebrating our inCREdible Warren teachers and staff as a part of our Staff Appreciation Week! Students, staff, and families, we would love to have you acknowledge a Warren staff member who has had a positive impact on you this school year. We are collecting positive messages through the form linked to this email and on our District website. These messages will be shared with our staff during staff appreciation week. Our staff has worked really hard and I know a positive message would mean a lot to them.

As we head into the home stretch of this school year, I would like to encourage everyone to stay focused on your goals, finish strong, and take time to enjoy the spring weather activities. As always, thank you for your investment in Warren students, staff, and schools!

Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
