
Today is World Mental Health Day! There are a couple things that you can do to help improve your mental health; like giving good long hugs and spending time outside. Please know if you are struggling, you are not alone and we see you today and everyday.





This morning, we celebrated our COREtastic Students of the Quarter! These Hawks have shown Civility, Order, Respect, and Excellence from the first day of the quarter, until the very last. We're so proud of you and can't wait to see what you accomplish next quarter!




We're on the countdown to Fall Break, but please don't forget to sign up for teacher conferences. Conferences will be closing up at noon on Friday, October 6. If you need help setting this up, please reach out to your student's teacher or email Miss Friedman.


Our Hawks are busy completing their classwork and getting ready for fall break!




How does Hawthorne celebrate fall? We go to Tuttle Orchards to learn all about apples, bees, and pumpkins! Thank you to the farmers at Tuttle Orchards who taught our Hawks so much great information about the fall things we all know and love.






Thank you for your patience and flexibility today. We have been informed by the city that the water issue has been resolved and school will be back in session tomorrow. We had so much fun recognizing our students who have been here nearly every single day this year! All kiddos who have come to school for 97% or more, were celebrated with an extra dose of recess and a popsicle! Thanks for coming to school, everyday, we love having you here!




Today was fun celebrating HATS OFF to college &careers! Not only did we get to sport fun hats today, we also got to teach our Hawks the value of their CORE cash in the CORE Store. Here's just a little bit of the fun had around Hawthorne today! Tomorrow's spirit day is pajama day!






We LOVED seeing your college pride yesterday! We can't wait to see all of the fun hats today!!! On top of that, today we get to shop in the CORE store! What a day to be a Hawk!!!





Calling all fall lovers, crafting lovers, and the people who just want a fun night out of the home! Hawthorne's Counseling Team is having a Fall Family Crafting Night on Sept. 28 and we would love to see you there! Please RSVP before the end of the day tomorrow (9/22)!!


This week is National Pollution Prevention Week! This week, let's think about what we can do to prevent pollution moving forward! How do you contribute to keeping the Earth clean!?

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! We celebrate this month from September 15 - October 15 by watching movies with Hispanic stories or actors, eating Hispanic foods, and so much more!

HAPPY FOODIE FRIYAY!! Ms. Deegan's third grade classroom has embarked on a monthly food journey this year. Our tiny food critics describe, taste, and write about a new food before taking it to a class vote! What do we think they thought of macarons!?
