Dr. Percy Julian, the grandson of former slaves, earned a PhD in chemistry. Despite experiencing racism throughout his life and career (his own alma mater wouldn't let him become a professor because of his race), he continued pursuing excellence. Thank you, Dr. Julian.
Leslie Odom Jr. originated the role of Aaron Burr in Hamilton, a musical that has taken the world by storm! Mr. Odom won a Tony and a Grammy for his work in Hamilton, and he continues to share his talent with the world today through film and television.
